Warren County Engineer Neil Tunison has been named president of the County Engineer's Association of Ohio (CEAO).

Tunison was sworn in to his new position in December by Ohio State Rep. Ron Maag.  He will serve in the role for one year.

The CEAO serves as a central point for reference and discussion of mutual issues for county engineers in Ohio.  The majority of Ohio's 88 counties elect a county engineer.

As president, Tunison will work to maintain current federal truck weight limits, work with ODOT on project development for federally-funded projects and lobby state and federal legislators to fund transportation projects, according to a statement released by his office.

Tunison was honored statewide by CEAO when he received the 2004 County Engineer of the Year award. He was praised for his work with storm water and drainage issues.
